One of the things we’re passionate about at Soul Survivor is meeting with God. During the main meetings we will always try to let God lead what’s going on and make space for him to meet with us. Rather than having a ministry team we encourage our delegates to pray for one another and so we have an enabling team on hand to check everyone is OK.
The enabling team will be split into sections throughout the main meeting venue to support the delegates as they pray. This may include guiding them on how best to pray for people (following our ministry guidelines), stepping in if someone is feeling a little out of their depth and dealing with any disclosures that may come to light during ministry (according to the our disclosure processes) and referring people onto the Chat Room or the Connect team if necessary. You will be serving during all of the morning and evening meetings (you’ll have a team meeting before each of them) and you may be required to attend some seminars during the week too. Expect to work about 8 hours each day. You will need to have experience of ministering in the power of the Spirit and be able to deal with sensitive situations.
You will need to provide your own tent, caravan or offsite accommodation but in return for your hard work we will provide you with an event pass and all your meals (dinner of Day 1 until dinner of Day 6) – what more could you want!?
You’ll be required to apply for a DBS certificate before we can confirm your place on this team. Information will be sent to you when we process your initial application but if you already have a DBS with Soul Survivor that is less than three years old or you’re subscribed to the update service, then you won’t have to complete a new one – winner! Just drop us an email with the details and we can take it from there.
SOUL SURVIVOR PRAYER MINISTRY GUIDELINES
Have a read of our prayer ministry guidelines. We’re not saying that this is the only way to pray – it’s just a few top tips that we have found to be useful over the years.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE?
You will need to be 18 or over to join the enabling team.
WHEN WILL I NEED TO BE ON SITE?
You will need to arrive on Day 1 in time for the all teams meeting at 3pm, followed by your first enabling team meeting at 3.30pm. You may wish to arrive in time to set up your tent before the 3pm meeting. Your last shift will be on the evening meeting on day 6, ending at about 10pm.
OK I’M INTERESTED, BUT HOW DO I APPLY?
We need Enabling team members for each Soul Survivor week and for Naturally Supernatural and you can apply online using our booking system. If you haven’t done so already, you will need to register with the system (using the box in the top right of the screen) and then login. Book a place on the event of your choice and choose the option to book as a team member. It’s completely free to volunteer with us so you won’t have to give any payment details.
If you’d like to apply to be on this team, drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a little bit of info about yourself and why you’d like to serve in this way.
